Know your worth

Your value is priceless. I could leave this post at that and it would be sufficient.

Before you can make full use of your skills, abilities or whatever it may be, you must first understand how much you as a person are worth. Once that is established you will realise that no matter what you go through, you do not devalue. You are not a car that as soon as you come off the showroom floor you depreciate and with every mile added you depreciate a little more, no. As you go through life you add experience and that gives you more value. You are a brand and building that brand is important. It is also important to never undersell your brand by settling or setting your bar too low.

A £50 note will always be worth £50. When it is clean and fresh it is worth £50, when it is folded in half it is worth £50. When it is scrunched up and thrown to the floor it is still worth £50. Even if we are to go as far as tearing the £50 note and using something external like tape to hold it together, it is still worth £50.

No matter what you go through in life, no matter what people throw at you or how hard they make things for you, you will always stay the same value. You may find yourself at a low point and someone else gives you that lift you need but not once in that period were you worth any less. External factors should never influence how you value yourself, and this comes when you have a deep rooted understanding of yourself. It should be so deep rooted that comments that suggest otherwise are disregarded like water off a ducks back.

Study yourself, learn about yourself and make the most of your findings. Apply them in a positive way and use that to strive to be the best version of you that you can be.
